Family Profile
Thank you for your interest in our Kameo Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Because of our love for this wonderful breed, we request the completion of a family profile prior to an individual being considered for one of our Cavaliers. Completion of the following form assists us in making the best possible match for the Cavalier, taking into consideration the ages of family members, previous experience with dogs and general life styles.
We believe that your investment in a Cavalier is similar to bringing a lovely work of art into your home. It will not only be a family member but also an item of beauty to be admired and loved for many years to come. We want our families to be proud of their new member and we take great pride in our breeding program that is carefully planned to produce not only healthy but beautiful Cavaliers.
A word about hereditary problems.All reasonable efforts, including certified testing, are preformed on our Cavaliers. Several conditions which may effect Cavaliers as well as many other breeds are polygenetic: they are caused by more than one gene. Thus, a clear certificate on both parents in no way guarantees remaining clear status on any young Cavalier as they mature. A red flag should go up immediately for you if any breeder, in your search, tells you that they have no health issues in their bloodlines. All Cavaliers carry the genes. Every breed of dog has health issues to watch for, and most are not life threatening, but with careful planned breeding between tested dogs, ethical breeders are working hard to improve these issues.
Our puppies are not placed until they are at least 10 weeks of age and have had their first puppy shot and health checked by our Vet. Puppies come with an information package, health records, feeding instructions and pedigree. All puppies are sold with a spay/neuter agreement, meaning that said puppy shall be altered at the appropriate age and not to be used for any future breeding. AKC papers will reflect that this dog is registered on his or her registration papers.
If you would like, we are more than happy to supply you with references from past puppy placements. We want our new owners to know that we are always here to assist them at any time during the life of this puppy. No question is too insignificant when caring for these intelligent and responsible little Spaniels. They will surely capture your heart and soul as they have ours.
